What is Retailer of the Year?
Retailer of the Year is presented to one hearth, patio, and BBQ retailer in North America each year to officially recognize outstanding commitment to retail excellence, customer focus, and industry involvement. Being chosen over hundreds of other retailers is a huge honor for our small business of less than 15 employees. Since our opening over 70 years ago, the Maschino’s Experience itself has always been our number one selling point and it’s incredible to have won an award for it!
How Did We Get Here?
Maschino’s has hosted local events and been involved in the Springfield community for decades, from high school art shows, local trade shows, and even the occasional silent auction. Joan and the Maschino’s team have even hosted the MWHPBA BBQ event and National Fireplace Institute certification training, presented at several industry events, and played an instrumental role in exempting the hearth and barbecue industry from the Missouri licensing bill. Following in Joan’s footsteps, Hailey has been accepted to join the Government Affairs Leadership Academy to continue the work that’s been done in the gas industry for fireplace and BBQ retailers like us. Maschino’s loves to be involved in the community that made us what we are.
Where Do We Go From Here?
Maschino’s team is dedicated to continuing our top notch customer service in all aspects of our work. Our fireplace service and install team are trained by the manufacturers of our fireplaces and have access to all of their resources ensuring you get the best work done on your fireplace. We also schedule all service and installs with the technicians that specialize in your specific type of service to ensure you’re getting our best work.
Our sales team is trained in each department; patio, fire, and BBQ, but like our service team, each specializes in different aspects to ensure you have a pleasant buying experience with a knowledgeable team member. Maschino’s also sends our sales team out for “training” in the form of trade shows that ensure our sales team are up to date on all the products available to our customers.
Like we mentioned above, we also have multiple team members interested in satellite topics like local legal and social issues, the local art community, philanthropy, and generally bettering the home we’ve known all these decades. We are also working on training the next generations of Maschino’s team members to ensure the Maschino’s Experience remains an award winning, quality experience!
